Kosé Esprique will release its spring/summer 2021 base makeup collection in Japan on February 16th. The collection includes:
– Synchro Fit Pact EX (7 shades, SPF 26, PA++, 9g, refill ¥2800, case with sponge (Powder Foundation Case B) ¥1000, replacement sponge (Powder Foundation Sponge B) ¥400)
(images from www.cosme.net)
– Essence Glow Primer (1 shade, SPF 20, PA++, 30g, ¥2600)
– Multi Cover Concealer (1 shade, SPF 35, PA+++, 6ml, ¥2500)
– Foundation Brush (for powder & non-powder foundations, existing item with a limited-edition packaging design, limited edition, ¥1200)
This collection marks the start of another renewal of the line. The packaging design and the official website have been revamped. Also, Japanese actress, singer and model Yui Aragaki (新垣 結衣) has returned as the ambassador for the line. (See one of the line’s ad campaigns featuring her in spring 2015.)
I find the packaging very appealing. The pale pink looks understated, and the design details on the powder foundation and the primer remind me of the Japanese art of kintsugi (金継ぎ), the philosophy and the aesthetics of which I admire and love.
