Paul & Joe‘s spring 2016 makeup collection features two variations of Face & Eye Color CS, three new designs of Lipstick Case CS and three new designs of Compact. Among the various prints on these items, the one on Lipstick Case CS 031 is my favorite.
Paul & Joe Lipstick Case CS 031 (ポール ＆ ジョー リップスティック ケース CS 031/ Paul & Joe 春蝶翩舞唇膏盒 031, limited edition, ¥1000 in Japan, £7 in the UK) features a jungle-themed print. For me, this is the most striking print from the brand’s spring 2016 makeup collection. I like the bold mix of orange and greens as well as the contrastive black and white. I think the vibrant colors go well with the whimsical quality of the print.
(Compact 010, from the same collection, has the same pattern with a different mix of colors. It has a much softer feel to it.)
