Holiday 2014 Makeup Top 10 (Part 1)

10th: Cosme Decorte AQ MW

Looking like a box of candy, Cosme Decorte AQ MW’s holiday 2014 King of Sweets makeup collection presents some seasonal treats. Inside the bright and festive packaging are very wearable colors for the eyes, cheeks and lips. They create a fresh and sophisticated look that works all year round.

9th: Elégance

I like the fact that the Coffret La Fête set from the holiday 2014 makeup collection from Elégance includes a base makeup item, a point makeup item and a fragrance. (It is like a collection of the best of Elégance.) The Nouvelle Eyes (in 102) in the set features a feminine and elegant combination of pink, mauve purple and brown, and I suspect that a few people might have gotten this set just to add the mini-size of La Poudre Haute Nuance (in I) to their collection. (The full-size version (8.8g) is priced at ¥10000.)

8th: Les Merveilleuses de Ladurée

Les Merveilleuses de Ladurée’s holiday 2014 collection includes a wide range of products, from lipsticks to a facial moisturizer and from candles to a seasonal greeting card. My highlights of the collection are Eye Color Palette in 109 (with its purple gradation) and the new shade of Face Color Rose Ladurée (in 04).

7th: Jill Stuart

Jill Stuart’s holiday 2014 makeup collection features the ballet-themed Prima Grace Collection set and the Ballet Stories collection (with four shades of Jelly Lip Gloss N and four matching shades of Nail Lacquer R). For me, the prettiest item of the whole collection is Crystal Bloom Solid Perfume. It is probably the only item from Jill Stuart released in the second half of this year that, to some extent, makes up for the absence of a 10th anniversary collection after the brand released an ornate 5th anniversary collection in fall 2009.
