For fall/winter 2013, many major beauty brands released deep and understated colors, and dark neutrals emerged as one of the key color trends.
The shadowing shades (the second darkest shades) in these eyeshadow palettes are the main indicators of this dark-neutral trend. In terms of color tone, there is a wide range of variation, from the cool-toned Les 4 Ombres in 43 Mystère from Chanel to the warm-toned Moisturizing Eye Color in A02 Active Beige from Kesalan Patharan.

These palettes create a rich and sensual look. Personally, I prefer warmer neutral tones, and the palette from Kesalan Patharan appeals to me the most. I also like the combination of the golden bronze and the dark chocolate brown from Les Merveilleuses de Ladurée.
