Chanel has released Ombres Matelassées (in 51 Montaigne) in the UK today. The limited-edition eyeshadow palette celebrates the re-opening of Chanel’s boutique on Avenue Montaigne, Paris.
The gold-toned palette is named after the boutique’s street address (51 Avenue Montaigne) and features shades of pear, pale gold, gold, golden khaki, and black.
The Ombres Matelassées palette (£46) is available in the UK in Chanel boutiques, Harrods, Selfridges Oxford Street, Selfridges Manchester Exchange, House of Fraser Glasgow, and Fenwick Newcastle.

Stunning! It’s so hard to find cool toned golds and neutrals everything leans orange.

Indeed, orange-toned neutrals seem to be one of the trends in the last couple of years. They tend not to work for me, and I much prefer brown golds with no orange or peach undertone.

I love this palette! I picked it up a couple of weeks back and it’s a gorgeous gold palette although not something that everyone will fall for, if they already have gold shadows.
