In August, I reviewed DHC‘s Coenzyme Q10 Lotion & Milk, both of which feel very lightweight on the skin. Today I am featuring another product from the range, Coenzyme Q10 Cream.
Coenzyme Q10 Cream (30g) has a light cream consistency and spreads very easily on the skin. Even though it feels relatively lightweight, it takes a bit of time to be fully absorbed into the skin. Some of the moisturizing ingredients in this product are butylene glycol, caprylic/capric triglyceride, olive fruit oil, stearic acid, hydrogenated palm oil, pentylene glycol, glyceryl stearate SE, glyceryl stearate, and palm oil.
The coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) in this product is listed as ubiquinone, which functions as an antioxidant and an anti-irritant.
The product contains other antioxidants such as arginine (amino acid), serine (amino acid), and tocotrienols (vitamin E, also with anti-inflammatory efficacy). Olive oil and palm oil, apart from being emollients in this product, also have antioxidant properties.
It is free from alcohol, parabens, fragrance (parfum) and other scenting agents. There are no obvious skin irritants in this product.
This is a well-formulated moisturizer with a good array of skin-benefiting ingredients. It should suit those with normal or normal-to-dry skin. For those who are using Coenzyme Q10 Milk and feeling that a more emollient moisturizer is needed, Coenzyme Q10 Cream can be a good replacement. Alternatively, it can be layered on drier areas after the Milk is applied.
