Hi PJ,
I just bought the new powder foundation (LP Pact) last week on ebay. Turned out it is not as good as I expected.
Although the color is a perfect match to my skin, the texture is a bit cakey when I put on my face (using brush). And It kinda come off easily too.
I’m thinking of switching to the Beauty Lasting Pact one, but I’m not quite sure if it is the way to go. So I am wondering if you could comment the differences between these two sometimes ?
Thank you so much,
Mingkwan
Hi Mingkwan,
I see. I have not tried the Lasting Power Pact so I don’t have any first-hand experience on how it compares with Beauty Lasting Pact.
On the other hand, Betsy at Autumn Masquerade (autumnmasquerade.blogspot.com) has tried both and has posted reviews of both as well.
I think that if you prefer Beauty Lasting Pact, there is no reason why you shouldn’t go back to it. (Sometimes the updated versions are not necessarily better for everyone.) The only thing you might need to look out for is that Beauty Lasting Pact might be phased out at some point in the future. So you might want to pick up a few extra refills if you do decide to go back to it.
Hope it helps, and thank you very much for your question! :)
Hi PJ,
Thank you so much for your reply, anyway I give myself a try since it’s kinda too expensive throw it out.
So I tried it with different make up base, turned out it worked well with Kiss Mat Chiffon Base. Just realized that different foundation requires different base.
I’m so in love with this powder foundation right now : )
Hi Kwannoi,
That’s very good to know. :)
It can be quite tricky to find the combination of primer and foundation that suits you, and I am pleased that you can enjoy using Lasting Power Pact now.
Thank you very much for keeping me posted! :)
็Hi PJ,
Just a little update. I can’t help myself not to buy the beauty lasting pact after finding it was on sale on adam’s website : ).
It arrived two days ago. After a few applications, I think I kinda prefer the Beauty Lasting Pact to the LP Pact. It gives a little more natural look while provides a good sebum control. LP does a perfect job too except that I think LP pact is too powdery, cakey, and accentuating my pores during the day.
You were right that the update version is not always the better one. I prolly stock up the Beauty Lasting Pact refills soon before it is phased out : )
Hi Kwannoi,
I saw the Beauty Lasting Pact on Adam’s site as well. I am also quite tempted…:)
Yes, it does do quite well in terms of oil control, which I think sets this foundation apart from many others that I have tried. On the other hand, it seems that Lasting Power Pact has more coverage.
If you really like Beauty Lasting Pact, I do think it is worth stocking up a few refills. (I always have quite a few ZA Two-Way Foundation refills as well.)
Thank you again for posting your comment! :)
