Hi PJ,

Fashion and cosmestics have never been my great passion, nor a major thing to me. I have never been a big and loyal fan for brands and I always find it so amazing to see that people around me have such keen eyes on what’s going on in this burning industry. I think to a vast majority of women, these two things have become their daily necessarities, their pursuits, their dreams, and sometimes even obsessions and addicitions. I am always shocked to see a large stock of clothing, shoes, bags, purses, accessories, etc…in a giant walking closet (although I would love to have one in my future home ). So am I startled to see loads of hair/manicure/pedicure products, fragrance, skincare, cosmestics, fashion magazines, catalogs of various stylish products sitting on one’s dressing table.

But as I was googling COFFRET D’OR, I found your website. It has an unforgettable domain name, neatly laid out, beautifully designed, nicely written, accompanied with pics for visual ease & explaination. It’s perfect for first-time starters on makeup or even pros. I find it such an enjoyment to read your posts and definitely got to know a bit of different brands of makeup, especially Japanese ones. I noticed that you responds to each individual’s posts, that’s a definitely a plus & thumb up!!

I would love to chat with you more although I barely know you. I hope you don’t find it intrusive :P

Hi Evelyn,

Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving your comment.

Apart from my beauty items, I used to have quite a collection of makeup and skincare leaflets and brochures. (The Japanese ones are particularly well-made and collectible.) Over the years I have downsized my collection to a manageable size, but I have been holding on to most of my past Biteki issues…

Thank you very much for your kind words about my blog. I have discovered over the past year that both people familiar with Japanese cosmetics and those new to them visit my blog, so I try to make everything clear for all readers, both in terms of content and the layout. Hope you have found my blog worth your time.

Do send me an e-mail if you would like to. You can find the address towards the top of my blog.

Thank you again for stopping by my blog. Hope to hear from you again. :)
