Thymes’ Red Chérie is one of the latest scent collections from the brand and is particularly welcome at this time of year.
Both the scent and the packaging of this range evoke the colorful vibrancy in the springtime. I especially like the pink and red cherries against the minty green. The whole packaging is elegant and has an organic feel.
The sweetness of the scent is both fruity and floral, as the aroma is a combination of pomegranate, red cherries, passion flower, jasmine, lycee, and musk. It has an uncomplicated fresh and effervescent vibe that dries up to a sweet and slightly creamy finish.
I wouldn’t say this is an all-year-round fragrance, as it can be too bouncy and sweet for me in colder months. But, as the warmer weather approaches, a bit of sweet indulgence seems well justified…

Hi Pj!
Is Thymes available to buy in the UK?
Kim
Hi PJ,
I’m not very good with scents, but what makes one scent more suitable for winter time and one for spring etc?? How do u “define” a scent to a particular season??
Hi Kim,
Good to hear from you again!
I don’t think Thymes is available in the UK. For purchasing Thymes items from the UK, you can e-mail intl@thymes.com for details.
(Please check the FAQ page on the Thymes website as well. You can find the link to the FAQ page at the bottom of Thymes’ homepage.)
Thank you for your question! :)
Hi Kng Suan,
Different fragrance notes evoke different sensations. Even though it is mainly subjective, there are different notes that people generally go for in different parts of the years (warmer/cooler months.) For example, fruity notes like lemon, mandarin, grapefruit, blackcurrant, and bergamot evoke a sense of freshness. In spring and summer, many people like to go for fragrances that are light and fresh.
Examples of warmer notes include amber, vanilla, caramel, and woody notes (sandalwood, cedarwood,…). They are like a cup of hot chocolate and evoke a sense of warmth. In fall and winter, People tend to reach for fragrances that have more of these notes.
In the case of Thymes Red Chérie, notes of pomegranate and red cherries are the predominant notes. So the sweet and lilting feel is very fresh and spring-like.
Most fragrances incorporate both cool notes and warm notes to create depth (different layers of sensations). But whether a fragrance is more on the warm side or the cool side is something that we can usually tell immediately after smelling a fragrance.
Hope it helps! Thank you for your question! :)
