Majolica Majorca will release the summer 2008 collection in Japan on April 26th. The collection includes:

Powder Heat Metallic: 1 shade (limited edition)
Lash Heat Metallic: 1 shade (limited edition)

My last Majolica Majorca purchase was about two years ago. Since then, I haven’t been impressed by their seasonal releases. The summer 2008 collection is still not cutting it for me…

Interestingly, I haven’t bought anything from Majolica Majorca since Lavshuca was launched in spring 2006. At least for the past two years, I think Lavshuca does cute a lot better than Majolica Majorca…

Hi The Muse,

At the moment, it seems that there are only two items from Majolica Majorca for summer 2008. (The Biteki website seems to indicate that there is only one shade for both these items.)

But maybe some more items will be released around May or June. We’ll see!

Thank you for stopping by again! :)

Hey PJ!
I find the mascara interesting… what shade is that? I mean, it looks kinda red! (·o·)

Thank goodness there’s not more, I say. My “need”-to-get list has grown far beyond my means…

It isn’t really surprising you don’t buy as much MM, is it, considering you’re more into cute than spunk? Wrong consumer group. I dig both, but lean a bit more towards the latter.

Hey, do you know Japanese well? I was wondering if you could do some scans of magazine pages like Biteki/Maquia, then translate them and post them here?

Just a thought by the way. ^_^ Cause I’m quite curious about the actual contents of the magazines.

Hi Kng Suan,

I think so…I think it looks like a crimson red. It will probably be featured in Japanese cosmetics magazines later on and we’ll see what the shade looks like when it is worn on the lashes.

Thank you for stopping by my blog again! :)

Hi Eru,

It does look kind of red. I would be interested to see how opaque the pigment is and how it looks on the lashes (probably from their summer 2008 makeup look). We’ll see!

Thank you for leaving your comment again! :)

Hi Ashan,

I am definitely more into cute than spunk, which probably explains why I haven’t really been very interested in Kate.

But, more than that, I think I am more into elegance than cuteness. I think this is why I prefer Lavshuca to Majolica Majorca. Also, the elegance in brands like Ayura and Lunasol really appeals to me as well. :)

Thank you very much for posting your comment again! :)

Hi there,

Thank you for visiting my blog! :)

I am not sure if you have checked out the official websites of Biteki, Voce, and Maquia. (You can find the links in my “Wealth of Information” list on my sidebar.) They all have been putting more and more of their magazine pages on-line. It is really worth a look and you can get a feel of what the magazines have to offer.

I do read a little bit of Japanese, but my Japanese is not really good enough to do any substantial translation. Also, posting scans of Japanese magazines can involve copyright issues, so I only photograph the pages (as you might have seen in some of my other posts) and I do that as sparingly as possible. I do apologize for this, but I will try to incorporate content from Japanese cosmetics magazines into my posts whenever possible.

Thank you very much for your questions! :)

Hey there!

I’m the one who suggested on the Japanese magazine scans above. ^_^

I’ll go check out their websites, thank you for the information!

Ooh, I see… It’s really ok, cause I’ve also haven’t thought about those things like copyright etc. Hey, but really thank you for your fast and detailed reply! You’re such a nice girl! ~0~

I really like your blog now!

Hi there again,

You are very welcome!

Do check out the websites. Voce in particular has quite a few pages of their current issue on-line. Do have a look. :)

I am not sure in what country you currently live, but perhaps there are Japanese bookstores which you can contact to purchase a current issue of one of the three magazines so you can have an even better idea of the magazine content.

Thank you for posting your comment again, and do please continue to visit my blog! :)

Hehe, ok! ^_^

I’m living in Singapore now, and will definitely go and take a look at their magazines when I go to Japan soon!

I think your blog is quite informative and the layout is very pretty too!
