The lineup includes:
– Blend Eye Shadow (eye palettes; three new versions)
– Eye Lucent (loose-powder eyeshadow; two shades) [new item]
– Blend Cheeks (one new version)
– Blend Lip Stick (six new shades)
– Gloss & Lip Color (three versions) [new item]
– Nail Color (three new shades)
In sharp contrast to last spring’s blue eyeshadows and beige lipsticks, SUQQU’s spring collection for this year has green for eyes and pink for lips. It has a slightly more youthful and vibrant feel.
The Gloss & Lip Color looks quite…girlie, and this is the first time I am using this word to describe SUQQU, which, for me, epitomizes grown-up elegance.
Is SUQQU taking on a new dimension? Or is it re-positioning itself to compete with (or make way for) CHICCA? (Both are ultimately owned by the Kanebo Company.)

Hi PJ!
I’m eagerly awaiting this new line. I’m counting the days.
But am I wrong… it seems we’ve already seen one of the eyeshadow quads before. 03 saisei?
Hi there,
Indeed…the green palette featured in the photo (there are a couple of others in the collection) is very similar to the green palette from the fall 2007 collection. It seems that the difference is that the two dark shades in the spring palette are lighter than the two dark shades in the fall palette.
I do look forward to comparing these palettes when the spring collection launches in Selfridges…
Thank you for posting your comment! :)
Hi – love your blog.
I am a big Suqqu fan – the assistants at the Selfridges counter are lovely.
I do think the e/s quads are quite similar to the autumn/winter ones…I will still probably buy one though! It would be very sad if they discontinued the single e/s – I loved those from both Gaia and Black Pearl.
I do like the new sheer blend lipsticks – the coral one in the new collection looks pretty, and I am sure I will buy it.
Hello there (to a fellow SUQQU fan),
I also enjoy visiting the SUQQU counter. The assistants are very friendly and helpful.
Indeed, the shades of the eyeshadow palettes for spring 2008 look somewhat similar to those in the fall 2007 palettes, but I suppose they are more sheer and possibly slightly more shimmery. We’ll see.
Like you, I really hope the eyeshadow singles will stay around for a long time. My guess is that they will, since they are the core basics. The quality is also simply superb.
The SUQQU lipstick I have is from the original lipstick lineup (with the white cases). It is one of the very few lipsticks that are actually moisturizing enough for my lips. Again, the quality speaks for itself.
I really look forward to seeing the spring collection later, and I will definitely share my thoughts about it later on.
Thank you very much for visiting my blog! :)
