Ah yes, the Guerlain. Sold out immediately, back in November. Fabulous item. I’m still chasing some Winter Glow, a more prosaic entry from a couple of holidays ago.
I was worried about their 2007 collection, but the Gold was a standout item. I found this season’s holiday cosmetics unexciting for the most part, except this one.

I am not surprised that it sold out. It is one of those items that have a unique idea that is well translated and implemented to the finished product. (Also, the price in the US is more reasonable than that in the UK.)
I also have to agree with you on the holiday collections this year as a whole. I find them to be weaker than last year’s. (I have planned to very briefly touch on this in Part 3 of my Holiday 2007 Top Ten List.)
