The Coffret D’Or spring 2008 base makeup collection will be launched in Japan on March 1, 2008.
Coffret D’Or is replacing the color makeup line T’Estimo and the base makeup line Revue, so I have been waiting to see the base makeup lineup. As expected. the collection consists of the usual basics:
(top-down from left)
-Beauty Lasting Pack UV (powder foundation)
-Beauty Lasting Pack UV Case
-Beauty Lasting Liquid UV foundation
-Beauty Lasting Veil UV (foundation primer)
-Makeup Concealer (2 shades)
-Makeup Powder (loose powder refill, 1 shade)
-Makeup Powder Case
-Prismal Blush (4 shades)
The packaging is in keeping with the color makeup line, as some of the items look like presents wrapped up in pink ribbons.
Coffret D’Or has been growing on me. The packaging has been appealing to me more and more, and I have been reading positive reviews of their color makeup items.
Currently I am interested in the eyeshadow palette (3D Lighting Eyes) in 04 Purple Variation. I would love to try it and compare it with my T’Estimo Frame Impact Eyes in 03, which is also a lilac-based eyeshadow palette (out in spring this year).

Hi! I just wanted to say that I love reading your blog and hanks for covering Coffret D’Or today! I am interested in Purple Variation too, along with the dual lip colours that are coming out with the Spring collection. Looking forward to seeing more pics!
Hello 心。葵,
Yes, as Coffret D’Or was launched earlier this month, T’Estimo and Revue will be phased out.
I believe both of them are still available at the moment, but I am not sure for how long.
If I were you, I would probably wait until the Coffret D’Or base makeup collection comes out to see if there is anything I would like to try…
Hope you will come across items from the range that suit you!
Thank you for leaving a comment on my blog again! :)
Hello Melmaha,
Thank you for your kind words!
It is very likely that I will purchase the purple eyeshadow palette. If I do, I will definitely review it on my blog.
As I mentioned, Coffret D’Or is slowing growing on me. I will surely follow its developments!
Thank you very much for visiting my blog and leaving your comment. Hope to hear from you again soon! :)
Hey PJ!
im back from japan!! i actually picked up a coffret eye palette and lipstick! i got the 01 colour and and BE178, havent tried the eyeshadows yet but i like the lipstick a lot, its very glossy! i also bough lavshuca loose powder which u mentioned sometime in your blog?? i thought id try it and i must say its very good. when are u next going to japan? i miss it already! lol
Hello Nicola,
Great to hear from you again!! Hope you had a wonderful time in Japan.
It seems you have got some great items. I have indeed talked about the Lavshuca loose powder, which I enjoy using very much. I am glad you like it too.
One of my friends has helped me buy the Coffret D’Or 3D Lighting Eyes in 04 (the purple one). It was sent a couple of days ago and hopefully I will get it soon. 01 looks very cute as well!. (Lilac and pink are what I have been wearing the most recently.)
I think BE178 is from the (Full Styling Rouge) Color series, and I have read that the Glow series is supposed to be and is indeed glossier. I think I would be more tempted to try the Glow series.
I will be reviewing the Coffret D’Or eye palette after I try it!
I should be going to Japan again in 2009. (I know…it is quite a long time from now…) I do miss Japan as well, and I am looking forward to going there again!
Thank you very much for letting me know about what you got in Japan, and enjoy using everything! :)
