As I mentioned yesterday, for this holiday season, not a lot of items have made the cut for my shopping list (only the DiorLight pendant and the MAC Antiquitease Royal Assets palettes). But when I saw these holiday 2007 palettes from Lavshuca (out on November 1 in Japan), the decision was made very quickly: I am getting one of these.
There are two versions, one with beige shades and one with pink and lilac tones. I am definitely leaning toward the pink and the lilac shades.
There is also a transparent lid on the lip color compartment so the eyeshadow powder won’t fly all over the lip shades and make them look dusty. A very thoughtful touch.
Also out on November 1 is a new range of lip colors, Liquid Rouge. Like Jewelry Lips, they will be very petite and compact.

LOL great minds :)
I just did my japanese wish list and mentioned the same exact thing about the lip palette lids!
If this was a US brand they’d NEVER had thought to add that extra feature that’s appreciated greatly by cosmetic lovers far and wide :)
these are on my wish list too!
Hello The Muse,
Lavshuca is definitely not the first brand to have done this. Another Japanese brand called Pola usually has a lid for the lip colors in the palettes. Again, a thoughtful design.
These are definitely on my list…affordable prettiness!
Thank you for commenting again! :)
I’ve never tried Pola ;) uh oh is this something else to lem?
:)
Agreed! Very thoughtful! And inexpensive! Wish we had more items like this stateside! :)
Can’t wait to see them in person!
Hi PJ,
I am new here just wanna say hi and start my beauty journey on your informative blog… :-)
Hi The Muse,
First of all, I don’t think you are missing anything…:)
I was going through my Biteki “archive” and I didn’t see the Pola face palette. It is possible that I remember it wrong. In that case, I do apologize.
But since we are on the topic, Pola is quite a high-end brand in Japan. Their strength and reputation are mainly in skincare. They recently released a top-end face serum that costs about 644 USD…
You can see the various lines under Pola here.
Their products are more for a mature clientèle and the packaging is usually very simple. I am not sure if they are the products that will grab you. For me, I have not tried their products.
According to my past Biteki issues, Menard and T’Estimo have done lids. Manard had a face palette with a lid for the lip colors (spring 2002), and Kanebo T’Estimo had an eye palette with a lid for the creamy eye base (fall 2004).
These are the trivia for you! :)
Hello there,
Thank you for stopping by my blog again. Hope you have been enjoying it! :)
How do I get hold of a Lavshuca palette in the UK? It’s lurvely!
Hello Emma again,
Thank you for leaving a comment!
One of the sites where you can buy items from Lavshuca (and other Japanese brands) is Adam Beauty ( http://www.adambeauty.com/). (There are other sites that carry Japanese cosmetics but I have only bought from this site and would recommend it.)
It is based in Hong Kong. It takes Paypal and ships internationally.
There is a Kanebo icon on the homepage. Click on that and you can see Lavshuca on the left. (I am guessing the Lavshuca palette might be in stock a few weeks after it is launched in Japan on November 1.)
The price under each item on the website includes the shipping cost. All you need to pay is a 2 USD registered mail charge.
Happy browsing! Feel free to send me an e-mail if you have any other question. (The e-mail icon is near the top of the blog.)
By the way, I am glad that you had a great time in Japan!
Thank you again for stopping by my blog! :)
Thanks you are a star!
I had an amazing time in Japan. I bought a Lavshuca eye pallette BR-1 (I would have bought more but my boyfriend was watching!!) and I fell in love with the brand. The way it sparkles is amazing and I’ve had people asking me where I got it from. I desperately want to own more Lavshuca :)
Hello Emma again,
So you have got a Lavshuca eye palette! That’s great to know!
I am not sure if you have got the Eye Color Select one (with the tulip-shape pans) or the Grade Color Select one (with the square pans). But, either way, it should be a really stunning neutral eye palette.
By the way, I just found that the Lavshuca holiday palette is on Adam Beauty now and I have ordered mine. Hope to get it soon! :)
