I Got It! Calvin Klein Eyeshadow

(Calvin Klein Eye Shadow in 06 Ivory)

Back in May, I wrote about Calvin Klein Cosmetics to mark the start of my Bring It Back! series. I mentioned I was aware that some on-line shops still carried the line and that I was concerned about the quality (since the line has been discontinued for quite a while).

But, during my trip to Nottingham in June, I was roaming around in a shopping mall and I came across some Calvin Klein makeup products in a cosmetics store! The store had a slightly similar feel to The Company Store in London, which is the Estée Lauder Group outlet store.

I checked the quality of some of the stock, and I was relatively happy. As most of the colors were too dark for my liking, I picked up this matte ivory shade, which is good as a base for other eyeshadows. It can also work as a subtle brow-bone or face highlighter.

This is the only Calvin Klein Cosmetics item I have, and it is a very welcome addition to my white eyeshadow collection!

Hello A-Mused,

Gosh…that’s quick…I just posted this several minutes ago…:)

This is a good find indeed. I am very pleased with it. I would have liked to pick up a couple more products, but quality-wise, pressed-powder products seem to be able to endure the test of time better…since the line has been discontinued for a while…

Thanks for commenting again! :)

Hello, Pj,

Nice color that you bought! Let us know how you like it!

When Calvin Klein was first upto the market around seven or eight years ago (anyway, thousand years ago), I was totally amazed by the quality and neutral style of their eyeshadows. I bought the eye shadow in 03 Taupe. This is almost my favorite one. Becasue it looks so effortless-natural and elegant. Sadly, it is also the only CK coemetics I have. Since CK discontined the cosmetics line, I treasure 03 Taupe with tiny little amount I use everytime. I am just afraid of the day I will run out it.

I really miss CK cosmetics!

Hello Beauty Anonymous!

Good to hear from you again, and thank you for sharing your Calvin Klein Cosmetics story!

I imagine 03 Taupe must be a great color. (Too bad…I don’t think I saw this in the shop…)

I was also impressed by the whole collection when it was around. I loved the clean and minimal decor of the counter space and the counter staff were friendly and professional.

I have tried the eyeshadow for a couple of times and I like it. It is soft and smooth. For a white eyeshadow, it doesn’t look dry or chalky at all. I am very happy with it!

Thank you for your comment! :)

Hello Joyce,

The writer of this post informed me on the new launch of Calvin Klein Beauty a while ago.

But I have to say I am not too crazy about the packaging. Hope the quality is just as good though. :)

Hello Michelle,

Thank you for visiting my blog!

I bought this one for 7 pounds, which was about 14 USD. It was a discount price, and I am not too sure what the original retail price was. But I am happy with the price and the quality! :)
