Kanebo Coffret d’Or released Shiny Color Collection Eye & Cheek in summer 2017. Two variations were available (01 Shiny Natural (warm-toned) and 02 Shiny Cool (cool-toned)), and I went for 02 Shiny Cool. Today I would like to share photos of as well as some brief thoughts on this palette.
Kanebo Coffret d’Or Shiny Color Collection Eye & Cheek in 02 Shiny Cool (カネボウ コフレドール シャイニーカラーコレクション アイ＆チーク 02 シャイニークール/ 佳麗寶 金炫光燦 夏日風采顏彩盤 02 閃耀冰晶, limited edition, ¥3500) features three eyeshadows and one blusher. The three eyeshadows in this palette are a cream white, a light blue and a dark gray. (I have not tested the eyeshadows as I would like to keep the prints on them intact for the time being.)
The blusher in this palette is a light-to-medium medium-to-cool pink with a glowy finish and soft multi-hued shimmer, and it has a light-to-medium (towards medium) pigmentation level. It is very easy to apply and blend, and it has a good staying power.
The blusher creates a fresh look with a touch of vibrancy, and I like both its color depth and its color tone. The cool tone of the color lasts well and doesn’t turn warmer over time. However, I find the finish to be slightly too glowy and light-reflective for me. The finish can also sightly emphasize the appearance of pores early on during the wear.
The slim case features the line’s name with letters of different colors. The “o” in “Coffret” is formed with raised dots.
