After reviewing Anna Sui‘s Rose Cheek Colors in 300, 301 and 100, today I will be sharing my thoughts on 302.
Anna Sui Rose Cheek Color in 302 (アナ スイ ローズ チーク カラー 302/ 安娜蘇 魔顏精靈薔薇頰彩 302, ¥3500) was released as part of the brand’s spring 2014 makeup collection as a limited-edition variation. (The other variation (also a limited edition) in the collection was 601.) The four shades in this variation are:
- medium-to-warm pink, lightly-to-moderately pigmented, with a velvety-to-satiny finish and a slight hint of glow
- peachy pink, lightly-to-moderately pigmented, with a velvety-to-satiny finish
- pink-toned taupe, lightly pigmented, with semi-sparse shimmer
- cream white, lightly pigmented, with semi-sparse shimmer
The medium-to-warm pink and the peachy pink are the main blusher shades in this variation, and both shades have a good staying power. The pink-toned taupe and the cream white are both quite sheer and they go on mainly as shimmer.
The two main blusher shades are very easy to wear. They show up fairly well and look fresh on the cheeks (without looking too light or subtle). The peachy pink does not look orange-y on me. (When mixed, the two shades go on as a medium-to-warm pink with a hint of peach tone.)
I like 302 better than I thought I would. The two main blusher shades work well for me (either on their own or mixed together), and their natural colors and finishes make them ideal blusher shades for daytime. I thought I would prefer the more vibrant 300 and 301, but I do like 302 just as much.
