Sadly, it is official now……
According to the notice on Lavshuca’s official website, production of all Lavshuca products will be terminated on December 31st.
I presume that, after that, the products will remain available while stock lasts and the line will be gradually phased out.
Among my ten favorite beauty brands, Lavshuca (debuted in February 2006) is the most affordable one. With beautiful items like Eye Color Select, Jewelry Lips and Face Powder, the line has certainly had its glory days. (Eye Color Select and Jewelry Lips were launched in the line’s spring 2007 makeup collection, which is probably my favorite collection from the line.)
Lavshuca’s fall 2012 makeup collection revealed the line’s new image. The products still looked cute and there were some interesting product designs, but they seemed to lack the femininity and elegance that the previous products had. As the line didn’t release any new seasonal collection after summer 2014, I was wondering about its future. Still, it is sad to see the confirmation.
It seems that Kate (Lavshuca’s edgier sister) has been doing consistently well. I wonder if Lavshuca will one day be reincarnated as a new girlie and elegant line to rival Shiseido’s Majolica Majorca and Integrate and Kosé’s Visée. We shall wait and see……

This is really sad news :( majolica majorca seems to be doing ok so don’t see why lavshuca should be less popular.
Hi Rinoa,
It certainly is. I get the impression that Lavshuca’s revamped look is not particularly popular. With lines like Integrate and Visée moving towards a more girlie and feminine image in the last couple of years, it seems that, unfortunately, Lavshuca has been losing its competitiveness. Hopefully there will be a new drugstore line from Kanebo to wow us again.
Thank you very much for posting your comment! :)
I admit the revamp is not nearly as pretty as their earlier packaging (especially those lipsticks). I used to have their powder foundation which was very finely milled and good quality. I hope Kanebo brings out another interesting brand.
Hi Rinoa,
Let’s hope so! Most of my Lavshuca items perform very well on me. (Face Powder, which I mentioned above, is one of my favorite Lavshuca products.) I’d certainly like to see a new drugstore line from Kanebo.
Thank you for stopping by again! :)
