A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about Paul & Joe‘s Makeup Collection 2014 from the brand’s holiday 2014 makeup and bodycare collection. I also picked up other items from the collection, and today I will talk about Pressed Powder T in 001 Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.

Pressed Powder T (limited edition, £27) comes in one variation (in 001 Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star). It is a two-toned powder with additional yellow spray-on. In the pan, it seems that the light lilac and the light yellow might have very similar finishes. However, the light lilac has a pearly finish with no large sparkles and the light yellow is less pearly but has sparse gold flecks.

For most people, it is probably too pearly and sparkly to be used as a setting powder. It is more of a finishing powder or a highlighter.

The product comes with a puff. The powder and the puff are separated by a sturdy plastic tray, not a piece of soft plastic film. I think it is quite a nice touch.

The lid of the powder case is in a silver shade and has a frosty finish. I like the case, and I think the frosty finish showcases the chrysanthemum motifs very nicely.

I don’t always use a highlighting powder to finish off my base makeup routine, but, as a lilac lover, I decided to add this to my makeup collection.

This is super cute! If I were to buy it I probably would never use it ever just to keep the illustrations intact.

Hi PA,

The illustration is indeed quite lovely. Animal motifs on makeup products don’t always appeal to me, but an owl sitting on a crescent moon against a starry night has a nice dreamy quality to it. :)

Thank you very much for your comment again! :)
