YSL‘s new Couture Palettes for summer 2014 are now available in some countries. The creation of these palettes is inspired by the Mondrian dresses designed by Yves Saint Laurent. Here is a look at the eleven variations:
(01 Tuxedo)
(images from www.fashion-press.net)
(02 Fauves)
(03 Afrique)
(04 Saharienne)
(05 Surréaliste)
(06 Rive Gauche)
(07 Parisienne)
(08 Avant-Garde)
(09 Love)
(10 Lumières Majorelle)
(11 Ballets Russes)
It seems that various images of 04 Saharienne show two different arrangements of the five shades (shown below). The arrangement seen in images of the actual palette that I have come across so far matches the arrangement seen in the image shown at www.ysl-parfums.fr.

At the moment, 06 Rive Gauche, 08 Avant-Garde and 11 Ballets Russes are not available on YSL’s UK site. They happen to be the same three variations that will be available in Japan from July 1st after the launch of the product (with eight variations) on June 6th. I am certainly hoping that they will be available in the UK a little later, as I would love to see 11 Ballets Russes in person. (One of the other eight variations I am really looking forward to seeing in person is, of course, 06 Surréaliste.)
