For spring/summer 2013, Anna Sui has released the limited-edition Tin House fragrance collection in the UK. The collection features three existing fragrances (Secret Wish, Fairy Dance, and Flight of Fancy) and each of them is packaged in a collectible tin house. Today I am taking a closer look at the Flight of Fancy tin house and fragrance from the collection.
The Flight of Fancy fragrance comes in a yellow tin house. With graphics designed by illustrator Michael Economy, the tin house can be used as a jewelry box. (It has two hooks on the top of the wall for displaying necklaces.)
Flight of Fancy (eau de toilette), launched in 2007, features notes of lychee, lemon, yuzu, rose, freesia, magnolia, amber, white wood, and musk (information from Osmoz). It is a fresh and vibrant floral fruity with a bright and sunny character. The sweetness of lychee and the zestiness of yuzu and lemon are at the center of the composition and the scent is gently garnished by the floral notes, which are very subtle. The base notes are even subtler.
The scent remains fruity throughout the wear and doesn’t particularly have a distinctive course of development. As an eau de toilette, it doesn’t have a strong lasting power.
The Flight of Fancy Tin House with Flight of Fancy EDT (50ml) is priced at £36 in the UK.
(In some other countries, Forbidden Affairs EDT is also featured in the collection and comes in a purple tin house. See images of all the four tin houses at BeautyPlus.)
