This is such a beautiful collection. I bought the Joues Contraste in Rouge and it is lovely (thank you for the link you provided by the way). It is very, very pigmented. Best used with a fan or stippling brush.
I am currently awaiting the lipstick (I changed my mind and decided to buy it later) and after reading many reviews on the eyeshadow and seeing swatches on many different skintones, well I want it now, but I don’t want to spend so recklessly.
On the one hand, I could find similar colours cheaper, on the other hand, I don’t have a Chanel quad (I never find one where I like both colours and quality, Dior wins eyeshadow everytime!) so this would be ideal for the first (and probably only one). I also don’t have similar colours yet. It’s rare I want so many items from a collection.
I love red blushers, but they are so hard to come by that I buy when I see one I like (I think my fondness for red blush reflects the way you feel about blue lip gloss, they’re unusual and most people are scared of them. I could write a whole post on why they are an ideal colour for blusher). Packaging is important too!
Thanks for the post :)
Hi Leila,
You are very welcome! I am glad that you caught this post!
I am pleased that you like Joues Contraste in Rouge. The color does look stunning. I think I would use a stippling brush to apply it too.
I understand what you mean. It is nice to have something that we can regard as a personal discovery and a signature color, isn’t it? :)
If you like the texture of Dior’s eyeshadows, then you may like Topkapi too. I swatched the colors in Selfridges and the texture is pretty smooth and silky. If you decide to go for it, do let me know what you think.
Thank you for stopping by again! :)
How can i buy one of the Lumieres Byzantines de Chanel
Hi Janice,
Thank you for your question, but I am afraid I don’t have the availability information outside the UK. (Also, I am fairly certain that it has sold out.)
