Here is a quick look at Dior‘s spring 2011 makeup collection. The limited-edition star item of the collection is Dior Cannage Palette, which is available in two variations. (You can see the packaging of the palette here.)
Grey is the main color scheme of the collection. Though chic and sophisticated, greys are usually too cool-toned for my complexion. Also, I am not really impressed by the packaging of the Dior Cannage Palette. It seems to be very similar to the holiday makeup palettes that have been released in the last few years. Overall this is certainly not one of my personal favorite seasonal makeup collections from Dior, although I would be interested in seeing the grey-toned Dior Addict Ultra Gloss (image below) in person.
Have a look at the rest of the collection:

Beauty collections seem to be going orange and tropical or grey for spring!
I’m with you that the grey gloss will be interesting to see in person. I think it would be like lavender coloured glosses, cool toned but almost clear though not as stark of a difference at least from what I could tell from the Facebook photos.
Slightly disappointed with the nail polishes as one of them is from the Vernis Gris City collection (I would much rather Bond Street, a grey with a touch of blue, be available).
Hi Ebontien,
I think you are certainly right. Orange-toned neutrals seem to be still in, and greys are on-trend as well.
I also think the grey lip gloss will be quite sheer. It will also be interesting to see how it works over lipsticks.
Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts again! :)
