In 2006, Kanebo launched the Impress range, and, a year later, the Impress IC sub-range was launched. According to Kanebo, Impress is marketed as a “high-price” range while Impress IC is what the brand calls a “volume-price” (mid-price) range.
On November 19, a new sub-range, Impress Granmula, will be introduced in Japan. Marketed as a “highest-price” range, the launch collection includes three items:
– Lotion (21,000 JPY, approx. 154 GBP, 239 USD)
– Emulsion (31,500 JPY, approx. 230 GBP, 359 USD)
– Cream (126,000 JPY, approx. 922 GBP, 1436 USD)
The Cream is certainly exceptionally pricey, but it still can’t stand comparison with Pola’s B.A The Cream Edo Kiriko, released as a limited edition last October.

My, I never knew cosmetics can get THAT expensive! Wow..
Lovely blog, by the way. Good luck at your new home!
Hi Eri,
Thank you very much for your kind words! Hope you will stop by again! :)
Hi PJ,
I just stumbled upon your blog when I was searching about Coffret D’Or. This page is great! I love how extensive your knowledge about cosmetics is as well as the variety. Will definitely be going through your archives. =] I live in the U.S. and I think they don’t have Kanebo stores in either country. How do you get your Japanese products?
Thank you so much!
Pye
Hi Pye,
Thank you very much for your kind words! :)
My friends in Asia often help me with purchasing Japanese beauty products, but I also purchase them on-line. You can try these two websites:
http://www.adambeauty.com
http://ichibankao.com
Adam Beauty is based in Hong Kong and Ichibankao is based in Japan. Both ship internationally. There are some other websites that carry Japanese cosmetics, but I have only shopped from these two sites and I have been happy with their services.
(For items not listed on ichibankao.com, you can e-mail them and ask them if they can source the items for you.)
By the way, the Kanebo Sensai line is available both in the US and in the UK.
Hope it helps, and thank you very much for your question! :)
