Two weeks ago, I mentioned the upcoming department store brand Addiction. Kosé has now set up the brand’s official website, which doesn’t have information on the lineup yet but has stated that the launch date is July 15th.
From what we can see now, the packaging features dark-brown cases that look quite minimal and chic, and the brand logo looks sleek and modern. The brand appears to carry items that fit into different-sized cases.
The website will probably have more information on the products as the launch date approaches.

Hey PJ! Do you happen to know if this will be available in Taiwan? I'm heading there again and would love to check it out…plmk :)
Hi Ti_Amo,
As far as I know, Addiction will only be available in Japan for the time being. I do think it is very possible that it will be available in Taiwan in the future. I would probably guess that it might be launched in Taiwan either next year or in 2011. We'll see!
Thank you for stopping by again! :)
This is such an exciting launch to me! I think that the product range looks interesting. The packaging looks sleek and sexy and the font for the logo has a sort of Studio 54 vibe about it. I am planning a trip to Japan in July and hope that I can be there for the week of the launch. I am excited that Kose has decided to partner with a makeup artist like Ayako as opposed to another fashion company. It will be interesting to see how it competes with RMK(another of my favorite makeup artist brands). I feel that the aesthetic of RMK, while still modern, has a sweeter sensibility than Addiction which looks a bit edgier to me. Keep us posted as soon as there is more information on specific products. Here's wishing Ayako continued success!
Hi,
I think you are spot-on about the feel of Addiction's packaging and logo design as well as the difference between RMK's and Addiction's looks. RMK does have a soft and feminine undertone, while Addiction appears to be edgier. It will certainly be very fascinating to see how Addiction will develop as a brand and how it will compete with RMK. I do hope it will be doing just as well as RMK.
Thank you very much for sharing your views! I hope you will get to see Addiction in person in July, and do keep me posted on your thoughts. :)
