Aha! I can see the very one you are eyeing! ;) The brush thing looks interesting as is the grey eye palette!
So pretty. I want them all. Except maybe blue…I can never pull that off properly. Then again, maybe now is the time to try!
Oh em gee PJ!
I think I want the whole lot, it’s going to cost me a fortune.
Those palettes are GORGEOUS, especially the green one!
Hi Paris,
Yes, I am sure you know which one I have put on my shopping list. (My lilac phase shows no sign of stopping…:))
The grey eye palette is looking quite classy and reminds me of one of last fall’s eye makeup trends, the Audrey Hepburn eyes. I am looking forward to seeing YSL’s ad image for fall 2008…
Thank you for commenting again! :)
Hi Jessica,
The palettes do look very good and the colors seem quite vibrant. I really look forward to seeing the collection in person and testing out the palettes.
Do give the blue palette a go. I think if some of the shades are not overly pigmented and have the right amount of warmness/coolness for your complexion, you might be able to pull them off.
Thank you very much for reading my blog and for your comment. Hope to hear from you again! :)
Hi Chica,
The collection as a whole is quite stunning, and the palettes are definitely the star for me. I think it has been a while since YSL last featured five-color eye palettes, so I am looking forward to them.
Thank you for posting your comment again! :)
wow, the Top Secret thing looks intruigng… i wonder what it’s for.
Hi there,
I think the Top Secret brush is a primer, which is packaged in the same dispenser as one of YSL’s latest foundations, Radiant Brush Foundation.
Thank you for reading my blog and leaving your comment! :)
Dear PJ,
I also published a post about YSL’s fall 2008 collection days ago. The collection is so pretty! I am so tempted by the eye shadows and lipsticks. Can’t wait to see the collection!
:)
Dear BA,
I do like the look of this collection. I think it is a stronger collection than those from Chanel and Dior for fall 2008, and I especially like the eye palettes. (But I do have a feeling that the actual palettes will probably not be as vibrant. But that would be fine, since I always like wearable non-neutral shades.)
I can’t wait to see the collection in person either! :)
Thank you for your comment again! :)
Oh we know which one you’d be hinting towards ^_-
I’m actually more towards the Palette Collection for Eyes, because for once I find the colours within and the usual gold packaging work out very nicely. Besides that, the only time YSL has turned my eyes was with their silver packaged Christmas look one year. I’ll have to see this palette in-store first because the colours look good now but it might be different face to face (or on skin rather). ^^
What till you girls see Rouge Volupte Silky Lipstick – you are going to freak!!!!! Coming very soon…..
Hi Ebontien,
Great to hear from you again.
Indeed…you know which one I will be paying serious attention to…:)
I think the Palette Collection for Eyes looks good too. It might not be an item I would personally go for, but palettes with colors like these do remind of Audrey Hepburn, with her sparking eyes and defined eye makeup.
As for the gold cases, they are definitely part of the reason why I like the brand… :)
Thank you very much for posting your comment again. :)
Hi there,
Thank you for letting my readers know about YSL’s Rouge Volupte.
I have seen them on auction sites. They do look unique, but I suppose I still prefer the simple design of the Pure Lipstick.
Thank you for stopping by my blog! :)
Very nice post about YSL products!
Please feel free to stop by at my new blog about fashion/style/beauty.
