This palette is from Jill Stuart’s spring 2007 makeup collection. When I saw this on the magazine, I just thought I had to get it. First of all, the packaging is ultra-pretty. Secondly, soft lilac and pink are colors that suit me quite well.

It proves to be what I wanted it to be and more. The featherweight powder feels soft on the skin. The colors are not heavily pigmented (which I like), and all of them are infused with shimmer and multi-colored sparkly particles. The effect is stunning. I can go for a barely-there look or I can layer the colors for a little bit more drama, For both looks, the shimmer adds subtle dimension to my eyes.

Overall, for this season, this is one of the best new items for me. Beautifully wearable colors and princessy packaging at their best!

hi, PJ, love your blog, well this day i was on my trip to china, as i was shopping at one of these mall for low end but trendy fashion for teens, i saw the JS brillian eyes pallet for sale of only 25RMB which works out to be 4 dollars US, being a jill stuart fan, i bought one for comparison, and i went home to compare with the one I brought from Japan which cost about 380RMB works out to 50somthing US, and GODSH, I can’t really tell the difference, it comes with everything, same box packaging, some outside beautiful box, even has the jill stuart clear film on that covers the eyeshadows, the only difference is the color and the quality of the eyeshadows, well if you are buying for the packaing you can definately buy that one, But being cautious for its content, I just put it for dislay.

Hello there,

Thank you very much for sharing your experience!

You have every right to be cautious when you shop for cosmetics. For high-end brands, if you see products being sold in unauthorized shops with a massive discount, I am sure you know what the problem is…

Obviously you have been using the real thing…just imagine all those who haven’t and who have nothing to compare them with…

This is also the reason why we all need to be very cautious when shopping on-line, especially on auction sites. Usually there is a giveaway when it comes to the seller’s feedback and the range of items on offer (as well as the prices), but sometimes it can still be difficult to be absolutely sure…

Thank you again for posting your comment! :)
