After purples for spring 2011 and blues for fall 2011 (as well as warm-toned and cool-toned neutrals, which have been taking turns to be on-trend in the last few seasons), we have green in its various hues for spring 2012.
Givenchy‘s spring 2012 Instant Bucolique makeup collection features a strong visual (above) and makes a statement with a fresh and spring-like minty green in Le Prisme Eyes Quartet in 79 Bucolic Blossoms. A very similar shade is seen in Venis Please in 178 Bucolic Lily.

For fall 2011, YSL launched Blush Radiance as part of the brand’s fall 2011 Midnight Garden makeup collection. (It is replacing Blush Variation in certain countries.) It is available in 5 variations, and each includes two shades deigned to be blended together. Today I am featuring 3 & 4.

I came across this eyeshadow palette on YSL‘s on-line store in Japan. The Eyeshadow Palette 1998 is inspired by the colors on the greeting card that Yves Saint Laurent sent to his family, friends, and colleagues in 1998, which marked the 40th anniversary of his professional creative activity in fashion.
The four colors symbolize the brand icon, the sun, the Marrakesh sea, and Majorelle Garden.

Each individual palette comes with a unique serial number as proof of authenticity.
According to the site, this palette is a limited-edition Japan-only web-exclusive item. (The site delivers within Japan only.) But it might become available in some other countries later on.

Back in 2007 (how time flies…), I posted about why I loved blue lip glosses (and why you should try them). I am happy that, over the years, many of you have told me that you also love how they add depth, dimension and transparency to your lips. Now, I bring you the summer 2011 additions of blue lip glosses.
