YSL currently features four eyeshadow palette ranges: Ombres Duolumières (since 2007), Ombres 5 Lumières (since 2008), Pure Chromatics (since 2011) and the recently launched Couture Palette. Among the four, Pure Chromatics has the most shimmery finish, and today I am reviewing Pure Chromatics in 6.

Japanese fashion magazine Éclat has posted images of the two star items from YSL‘s spring 2015 makeup collection.
The two limited-edition items, to be released in Japan on January 9th, 2015, are Lumière de Jour (face highlighter) and Ombres de Jour.
Updated on December 30th, 2014:

Among YSL‘s Wildly Gold holiday 2014 makeup collection, the limited-edition star item, Palette Wildly Gold, has caught my attention. Even though multi-purposed eye-lip-cheek/face makeup palettes from the brand are commonly available at airport duty-free shops, it was seven years ago when the last one for the holiday season was released.

It is great to see that YSL will be releasing Blush Volupté for fall 2014 as a permanent item after teasing us with the limited-edition Blush Volupté Rose Gold in Loulou from the Rose Glow Collection. Like the Couture Palettes, the look of the product is inspired by the Mondrian dresses designed by Yves Saint Laurent. Nine variations will be available, and there is a good range of colors, from cool pink to bronze. I am liking 1, 3, 4 and 5 at the moment.
Have a look at the other eight variations:

– I had a look at SHISEIDO’s Face Color Enhancing Trios for fall 2014 (£32 each). I was interested in PK1 (Lychee) (particularly the pink blusher), but the blusher shade turned out to be very pale. The whole variation was more for finishing and highlighting. All the other three variations didn’t really suit my skin tone.

Here is a look at YSL‘s fall 2014 makeup collection. The star item of the collection is the limited-edition Palette Fetish. The arrangement of the five colors in the palette is the same as that of the recently launched Couture Palette, and I like the combination of the browns and the blue. The black exterior of the case shows off the YSL logo nicely.

YSL‘s new Couture Palettes for summer 2014 are now available in some countries. The creation of these palettes is inspired by the Mondrian dresses designed by Yves Saint Laurent. Here is a look at the eleven variations:

YSL’s spring 2014 Flower Crush makeup collection features pink and purple, two of my favorite colors. The limited-edition Palette Flower Crush Eyes (pictured above) includes rose pink and dark cherry alongside lighter highlighting shades.

Here is a quick look at some of the items from YSL‘s summer 2014 makeup collection. The collection features shades of blue, and I particularly like the refreshing baby blue. The seasonal limited-edition collector’s item is Palette Bleus Lumière (above, case below).
