Visée‘s Glam Glow Eyes series is from the line’s fall 2011 makeup collection. From what I have read, with its lovely packaging and easy-to-wear tone-on-tone color combinations, the series appears to be very well-received. After the positive experience with Visée’s Glam Shade Eyes in GR-5 (from spring 2011), I decided to go for Glam Glow Eyes in BR-3 and GR-4. Today I am reviewing BR-3.

SUQQU’s fall 2011 makeup collection is a relatively small but perfectly formed collection. Earlier I reviewed Blend Color Eyeshadow in 08 Mizuaoi & Face Color Palette in EX-01, and they are both beautiful items. The eyeshadows are gorgeously creamy and Face Color Palette is a solid multi-purposed product.
When I reviewed SUQQU’s Creamy Glow Lipsticks in April, I mentioned that I thought SUQQU would probably bring out a sheerer range of lipsticks in the next few seasons. It turned out that I was right. I tested the limited-edition Creamy Glow Lipsticks Moist at the SUQQU counter, and they are considerably sheerer than the very intensely pigmented Creamy Glow Lipsticks. (But they are not overly sheer.) They also have a glossy finish that appeals to me. I hope there will be a more permanent range of sheer and glossy lipsticks from SUQQU later on.

New phase, new brand.
After a couple of years of on-and-off investigation, I decided to start bringing greens into my usual repertoire of pinks, purples, and neutrals. Not just any green, but warm olive-toned greens, preferably with a gold undertone. (I don’t think cooler jewel-toned greens would suit me.)
Visée is a popular drugstore makeup line from Kosé. Glam Shade Eyes in GR-5, from the line’s spring 2011 collection, is not my first ever Visée item (see pictures of my Dual Shine Rouge Palette from holiday 2006, my first Visée product), but this is my first ever eyeshadow product from the line. The obvious warmth of the shades and the tone-on-tone color combination (which is great for me to play with the different shades of green) are the main reasons why I decided to get it.

Even though some of the colors in Elégance’s fall 2010 makeup collection don’t appeal to me, I like how the theme of the collection, Operatic Queen, is reflected by the way the colors are arranged in the Phantom Eyes palettes. The packaging of the items is opulent and classy as always.

I have not been an avid fan of Kosé’s Visée. I have only purchased one product from the line (Dual Shine Rouge Palette for holiday 2006), and the packaging and the brand image generally don’t appeal to me. But Visée’s new eyeshadow palette series for fall 2010, Blossom Eyes, is looking pretty good. I am liking the floral patterns, although the case may look too plastic-y in person.
Visée’s fall 2010 makeup collection includes:
– Blossom Eyes (5 variations)
– Lash Blossom Volume (1 shade)
– Lash Blossom Long (1 shade)
The collection will be released in Japan on June 16th.
You can see the promotional image of the collection and the five Blossom Eyes palettes here.

For me, I bought these:
*Visee Dual Shine Rouge Palette*
I always like lip palettes. Visee’s Gothic design looks cute and glamorous. The grey lipgloss looks very dark on the photo, but it is actually quite a transparent grey hue with sparse glitters. It is mainly for a very toned-down version of dark gothic lips.
*Paul & Joe Hummingbird Collection*
Cosmetics stuff don’t get prettier than this. I like the fact that the lipstick does not have any shimmer. It is just a nice creamy muted pink. The eyeshadow, however, has tones of iridescence. When used light-handedly, it can be a good blusher.
*Dior Pretty Charm*
Tacky as some might think, I love this one-off design. I have not used the lip colors yet, and I doubt I will soon. I am just enjoying the sight of it for the time being. I like the fact that it is rather heavy so there is a sense of existence, as I always call it.
*YSL Gold Celebration Palette “Star Glow”*
Except for the fact that I need to be careful not to leave fingerprints all over the case, I am really glad that I bought this. The two pale lipglosses look like they have tons of glitters. I would like to try them soon. YSL should definitely keep releasing a palette for each Christmas. But I feel that, after four years, they might want to do something different…
*Marc Jacobs votive candle set*
I finally got it after missing it last year. Since last year, I have developed an interest in fragranced candles. The Stella McCartney candle is my favorite. Smaller than the usual glass candles, each one of the three features a different Marc Jacobs scent.
I realize that there are loads of lip colors from what I bought. Ummm…maybe I will buy more things for eyes in the coming spring, to balance out…
