One of the star items of Jill Stuart‘s launch lineup in 2005 was Blush Powder. It was a loose powder blusher in a very pretty container. I was tempted to get it, but then I got the 2005 Christmas Collection set, which included a highlighting powder in the same container (left in the photo). Then, in fall 2010, Blush Blossom was released. It was Jill Stuart’s new loose powder blusher, which, in a way, replaced Blush Powder. I decided to try 01 Romantic Sweet Pea.

Since I tried Lunasol’s Sheer Contrast Eyes in 02 Lavender Coral in 2008, it has been one of my favorite purple-toned eyeshadow palettes and the main purple shade in the palette has been my ultimate standard for purple eyeshadows. I like many of the purple eyeshadow palettes I have tried in the last few years, but very few come close to the beautiful Lavender Coral. Shiseido Integrate‘s Pure Big Eyes in VI221 is one of those rare few.

With base makeup items from Japanese brands, there seems to be an endless cycle of renewing and revamping as many products are replaced with updated versions within two or three years. Of course, there are exceptions, and Majolica Majorca‘s Pressed Pore Cover is one of them.

I have always liked the golden curvy bottles and cases of Dior‘s Diorific items, so it has been nice to see new Diorific items for the holiday seasons in 2012, 2013 and 2014. For holiday 2014, Dior released Diorific Golden Shock Illuminating Pressed Powder. It is fairly similar to Perfumed Illuminating Powder for holiday 2013, but I did decide to get it after getting the one from last year.
