Les Merveilleuses de Ladurée’s fall 2014 Le Coffre à Bijoux des Merveilleuses makeup collection features jewel tones in the products and on the packaging. Rich ruby red adorns Face Color Duo and Pressed Cheek Color Limited Case II while the two Eye Color Trios showcase vibrant amethyst and emerald.

On September 4th, Pola will launch Nocturnal, a new makeup sub-line under the existing Muselle makeup line. The collection is designed in collaboration with Japanese artist Kaori Miyayama. The products not only feature her illustrations but also embody the idea of “translucent dimension”, the essence of her artistic style.
I like the soft and elegant shades of Face Color (more images below). The three variations feature different illustrative designs, and there is something quite poetic about them.

– On October 3rd, Japanese beauty brand Pola will be releasing a limited-edition item, B.A The Cream Edo Kiriko, to commemorate the brand’s 80th anniversary. (Edo Kiriko is a form of traditional Japanese glass craft.) The 30ml cream will retail for 207,900 JPY (about 2,196 USD). (B.A is Pola’s most top-end line, with a face wash (Wash B.A Extra) retailing for 12,600 JPY (about 133 USD).)
