I feel that some of Lunasol‘s recent seasonal makeup collections lack flair and imagination. Its fall 2015 Captivating Purification makeup collection has a chocolate theme, which we have seen for many times from other brands. However, Selection de Chocolat Eyes in EX01 Chocolat Noir, with its intensely dark shades, is not only the standout item in this collection but also one of the line’s more memorable eyeshadow palettes in the last few seasons.

With natural-looking colors in a glamorous and substantial-looking case, Dramatic Mood Veil from Shiseido Maquillage was love at first sight. For me, it is the centerpiece of the newly renewed Maquillage, and I was really looking forward to trying it.

I am sure devoted fans of SUQQU have noticed that the brand’s makeup range has been changing over the last couple of years. The colors and tones are more varied as there are more non-neutral eyeshadow shades and more vibrant lip colors. The brand’s spring 2015 makeup collection is fresh and colorful. The three new variations of Blend Color Eyeshadow combine soft spring-like hues with neutral shades, which have always been the brand’s speciality. However, I am more drawn to the blushers and lipsticks in the collection. I picked up Balancing Cheeks N in 04 Mizuhanamoya and Creamy Glow Lipstick Moist in EX-16 Momobara and I will be reviewing them later. (Update: read the two reviews here and here.)
