Since the Paul & Joe counter at Fenwick closed in May and there was nothing on sale at Paul & Joe at Harrods this summer, I thought I’d post about my winter sale 2013 purchases last December, which I didn’t manage to write about at the time.

One of Sofina Aube Couture‘s main aims is to make makeup application as easy and straightforward as possible, and it is not difficult to see how the line tries to achieve this with its product designs. (See my post on Aube Couture’s user-friendliness.) One good example of this is the design of the line’s eyeshadow palettes (Designing Eyes, Designing Shine Eyes, Designing Impression Eyes and Designing Impression Eyes II). The colors in the palettes are arranged in a way to show where they are applied on the eye areas. In the same vein, the line’s Designing Puff Cheek, launched in summer 2013, attempts to make blusher and highlighter application quick and simple.

For fall 2012, Kanebo Coffret d’Or released four limited-edition sets of Beauty Collection Total Designing Set. Each set included a variation of Beauty Face Shadow, which was first released as part of the line’s late summer/ early fall 2012 makeup collection. As I really liked 02 Cream Brown from the collection (it is still among my favorite neutral-toned eyeshadow palettes), I decided to go for Beauty Collection Total Designing Set in EX-2, featuring Beauty Face Shadow in 05 Lavender Purple.

SUQQU continues its 10th anniversary celebration with a limited-edition makeup collection for fall 2013. This collection is noticeably more colorful than most of the brand’s previous seasonal collections, and today I am reviewing Blend Color Eyeshadow in EX-17 Hatsushimo and Face Color Palette in EX-03.

There are quite a few blushers from fall 2013 that have caught my attention. I like Cheek Polish from Addiction and Blend Color Cheeks from Visée. Today, I am highlighting some of the other ones.

After 2012, the Stash Debut series is now back as a regular series, and I will continue to share my thoughts on items I purchased from brands/lines I hadn’t purchased from before. Today, let’s have a look at Cezanne!
Cezanne is a Japanese drugstore beauty brand. Launched in 1964, it will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year. The brand is known for its affordability and consistent quality. The packaging of the products is usually kept very simple. I wanted to try products from Cezanne for quite some time, and, earlier this year, I decided to go for Silk Touch Cheek in 01 Pink.

Since last year (when the brand celebrated its 10th anniversary), Paul & Joe has been revamping some of its makeup items. Last fall, the lipstick range was relaunched, and the packaging features peach bases and white caps with more pronounced chrysanthemum motifs and the new PJ logo. This spring, the blusher range (Cheek Color) was renewed and it features the same style of packaging. I really like the new case and many of the color variations, and I decided to pick up 03 Gigi and 08 Candy.

Featuring soft neutrals for the eyes and warm shades for the cheeks and lips, Chanel‘s spring 2013 Printemps Précieux de Chanel makeup collection is elegant with a touch of girlieness. Today I am highlighting three items from the collection: Poudre Signée de Chanel, Joues Contraste in 76 Frivole, and Stylo Yeux Waterproof in 100 Santal.

Founded in the UK in 1995, Liz Earle has been a well-established skincare brand for years. Many of its skincare products that I have come across are antioxidant-rich and without the irritating alcohol or fragrant plant oils. In recent years, the brand has branched out into fragrance, haircare, and makeup. In 2011, I reviewed Sheer Skin Tint SPF15, which is one of the first products in the brand’s makeup range. Today I am reviewing Natural Finish Pressed Powder in 02 Sheer Ivory and Healthy Glow Powder Blushes in 02 Blossom and 06 Nectar.

It was the sale time again, and I had to stop by the Paul & Joe counters in London to see what was on offer. (See my Paul & Joe sale purchases in 2010 and 2011.)
Paul & Joe’s sale items are usually past limited-edition items, discontinued (replaced) products, soon-to-be-discontinued products, and overstock. For this winter sale, many Lipstick N shades and Face Color variations were on sale, since the new lipstick lineup was released in fall 2012 and the new range of blushers (Cheek Color) will be launched soon as part of the brand’s spring 2013 makeup collection.
