Prédia, owned by Kosé, is predominantly a skincare line available in beauty specialty stores in Japan. (It is not sold in department stores or drugstores.) Prédia has several sub-lines (Spa et Mer, Spa des Grands, Deep Spa and Affinity), and, altogether, the line carries skincare, bodycare, haircare, base makeup, point makeup, nail items and one fragrance.

Prédia used to have a point makeup sub-line called Chérini, and its current point makeup items are under Affinity. On August 21st, Prédia will release its fall 2014 makeup collection in Japan (directly under Prédia). The collection includes:

Kanebo Chicca Summer 2014 Makeup Top 10 1

(image from www.chicca.jp)

.

For me, the highlights of Chicca’s summer 2014 Summer Horizon makeup collection are the lip items. The two new shades of Mesmeric Gloss On look eye-catching (the golden 04 Monochrome Gold and the pink 05 Moon Pink with sparse blue-toned shimmer). Among the three new shades of Mesmeric Lipstick, I like 08 Rose Glacé (the top one in the image), which is a red pink with a subtle rose undertone. It is an understated and elegant color.

Vecua Honey Wonder Honey Honey Dew Hand Creams 1

.

Today, my Stash Debut series, which highlights my first purchases from various brands/lines, focuses on Vecua Honey.

Launched in April 2011, Vecua Honey is a sister brand of the Japanese beauty brand Vecua. While Vecua (debuted in 2003) is a high-end brand sold in department stores and has a clean and sophisticated look (see my brand profile on Vecua), Vecua Honey’s image is more youthful, fun and whimsical. Vecua Honey’s products feature honey as well as other natural ingredients.

Cezanne Silk Touch Cheek 01 Pink Fall 2012 Makeup 1

.

After 2012, the Stash Debut series is now back as a regular series, and I will continue to share my thoughts on items I purchased from brands/lines I hadn’t purchased from before. Today, let’s have a look at Cezanne!

Cezanne is a Japanese drugstore beauty brand. Launched in 1964, it will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year. The brand is known for its affordability and consistent quality. The packaging of the products is usually kept very simple. I wanted to try products from Cezanne for quite some time, and, earlier this year, I decided to go for Silk Touch Cheek in 01 Pink.

Shiseido Benefique Theoty Spring 2013 Makeup 1(images from www.cosme.net)
(info from www.cosme.net & i-voce.jp)

.

Benefique is one of the beauty lines from Shiseido. It is mainly available in pharmacies across Japan, and it currently features skincare, base makeup, point (color) makeup, haircare, and beauty supplement items. Benefique’s point makeup range is called Theoty (note: not Theory), which has been around for quite some time. For spring 2013, Theoty’s packaging will be revamped and the new girlie look has caught my attention. (It reminds me of the very pretty Miss Elégance from a few years ago!)

Theoty’s spring 2013 makeup collection will be released in Japan on February 21st. It includes:

Shiseido Anessa Spring Summer 2013 Skincare Suncare 1(image/info from www.nikkei.com)

.

Shiseido’s Anessa is one of the most popular suncare ranges in Japan. The range features sunscreens (including one designed for babies), foundations, and a BB cream, all of which offer high levels of protection against UVA and UVB rays. The range also includes cleansers formulated to remove high-factor sun protection.

Currently, in Japanese cosmetics, the labels indicating the strengths of UVA protection are PA+, PA++, and PA+++. From January 2013, as a result of the advancement of UVA protection technology in Japan, the Japan Cosmetic Industry Association will introduce PA++++, an even higher level of UVA protection.

Anessa’s spring/summer 2013 suncare collection, which will be released in Japan on February 21st, features items with the PA++++ UVA-protection level. The collection includes (from left to right in the photo above):

Fujifilm Astalift Regenerating Night Cream 2

Those in the UK who are fans of Japanese cosmetics might have noticed that Astalift had (somewhat quietly) been launched in the UK earlier this year. Today I am reviewing Astalift’s Regenerating Night Cream after an overview of the line.

Kao Sofina Jenne Trial Set Moist Type 1

.

In my Japanese Brand Profile series, I have written about Kao Sofina‘s Beauté and (the now discontinued) Hada.ka skincare lines. Today, in my Stash Debut 2012 series, I will be talking about another skincare line from Sofina, Sofina Jenne, and I will be reviewing Sofina Jenne Trial Set (Moist Type), my first purchase from Sofina Jenne (mainly to try the popular Jelly Moisturizer, one of the best-selling products from Sofina).
