Dior will be releasing Palette Lady Dior as an ultra-exclusive item (as with the Tailleur Bar Palette and the Mitzah Palette Set). It is inspired by the new Tweed and Crocodile Lady Dior Bag, one of the latest editions of the iconic Lady Dior bag from Spring/Summer 2011.

Even though I adore the style of the Lady Dior bag, I am not overly keen on the tweed version or the palette itself. (I think I prefer my own Lady Dior from spring 2009.) But…who knows…maybe I will change my mind about the palette if I have a chance to see it in person……

I had the honor and pleasure to be invited to the Access² Fashion & Journalism event, which was held on February 22nd in London. As a guest speaker on the journalism panel, I talked about my passion in writing about beauty and my last four years as a blogger. I also offered some advice to those who would like to become bloggers and on-line journalists.
The event was organized by Elevation Networks, and, specifically, its GIFTED Campaign, one of whose aims is to help Arts and Fashion students gain an insight into the field through those in the relevant industries.
One of the things that impressed me the most is the enthusiasm of all the participating students, who were keen to ask questions and talk to the speakers, and I certainly hope they were able to benefit from the event.

3rd: Helen Mirren (Vivienne Westwood)
How does she do it? She almost always looks great on the red carpet. This regal Vivienne Westwood gown goes well with all the aura that she has. I like the puff sleeves and the color of the dress suits her. I usually like her hair a little longer, but I think the style complements the gown.

When it comes to jewelry, Bulgari is one of my favorite brands, if not the favorite. I particularly love the beautiful multi-colored pieces from the Sapphire Flower, Allegra and Astrale collections. I also love Bulgari for its well-crafted fragrances, of which I have a few, and Eau Parfumée au Thé Vert is one of my favorite scents.
For this spring, combining jewelry and fragrances, Bulgari gives us the Jewel Charms Collection. The colors and the shape of the flacons certainly remind me of some of the stunning pieces of Bulgari’s luxurious jewelry:

Joining the winter sale madness, I stopped by Paul & Joe at Harrods and Fenwick a couple of days ago. (Paul & Joe’s sale items are usually recently discontinued products, soon-to-be discontinued products, and surplus stock, and they are usually (almost always) 50% off their full retail prices. (Have a look at this post for more information on seasonal sales on cosmetics in the UK.))
All the items I got this time are 50% off retail prices. I would not have purchased these items at their full prices (possibly with the exception of the Body Milk), but, with the considerable discounts, I was very happy to bring home and try these products:
(Towards the end of this post, there is a list of items that I remember are on sale in Harrods and Fenwick.)

3rd: Cameron Diaz (Oscar de la Renta)
I think Cameron Diaz’s red carpet style is sometimes too casual, but this look is great for her. The shimmery Oscar de la Renta gown is glamorous without being too fussy, and the relaxed hairstyle suits her well.
2. Kate Winslet (Atelier Yves Saint Laurent)
Like last year, Kate Winslet chose to wear an Atelier Yves Saint Laurent gown for the Oscars. It is another simple and elegant look that works for her. The Tiffany & Co. necklace finishes the look beautifully, and her warm-toned makeup looks stunning too.
1st: Jennifer Lopez (Armani Privé)
I like a bit of visual impact on the red carpet, and this Armani Privé dress has it. Jennifer carries off the structured look well and the soft color complements her skin tone. It is a good move to keep the jewelry simple.
Besides, I also like Queen Latifah‘s dusky pink (some say lavender) gown by Badgley Mischka with asymmetric jewel details and Anna Kendrick‘s romantic blush pink number by Elie Saab.
