Paul & Joe Beauté has announced on Facebook and Twitter today that its counter at Harrods will be closed at the end of this week. (The announcement mentioned “Saturday January 18th” as the last day of trading. I am not sure whether it is Saturday January 17th or Sunday January 18th.)

SUQQU seems to be doing well in the UK. Its first retail point in the UK (at Selfridges London, launched in 2006) is no longer a small counter in the back of the beauty hall (now Beauty Workshop, which is better-organized), and it was launched at Fenwick Bond Street in August. Then, on November 5th, it debuted at Harrods.

According to this Facebook post, Japanese beauty brand Hacci will be launched in Taiwan on October 1st. I have noticed that Hacci has been receiving more and more media coverage in Japan in the last couple of years due to its continuous releases of new products and its increasing availability in upmarket department stores. I thought I’d talk about this brand before its international debut.

(I really want to like it, but……)

– SUQQU opened its second counter in London at Fenwick Bond Street on August 4th. (It is great to see SUQQU continue to expand in the UK.) To celebrate the opening, Blend Color Eyeshadow in 08 Mizuaoi from fall 2011 is back for a limited period at this counter. Also, SUQQU’s fall 2014 makeup collection will be released in the UK on August 21st.

As some of you might already know, Les Merveilleuses de Ladurée was launched in Hong Kong on July 19th.

– I have learned that the Paul & Joe Beauté counter at Fenwick Bond Street in London was closed yesterday.
This is such a shame. Most of my Paul & Joe purchases were made there, and I really liked the spacious counter with a relaxing atmosphere. The staff members there were exceptionally polite and friendly, and I want to thank them for being so helpful to me over the years.
Harrods has the only staffed Paul & Joe Beauté counter in London at the moment. The Paul & Joe section in the Beauty Workshop at Selfridges Oxford Street is unstaffed.

After THREE was launched in Taiwan earlier this month, another exciting Japanese beauty line, Les Merveilleuses de Ladurée, will be joining the Taiwanese beauty scene next month. (The beauty line of this French confectionery brand is mostly manufactured in Japan (by Kosé-owned Albion).)
