I followed Sonia Rykiel‘s beauty line closely when it was still around. (Have a look at a profile of the line here.) Unfortunately, it was officially discontinued on December 31st, 2014. The products from the line were still available until March 31st, 2015, and I went for Perfect Eyeshadow in 01 Urban. Today I will be sharing some photos of this palette.

Over the last eight years, I have written about various lipstick ranges from SUQQU (Creamy Lipstick, Blend Lipstick, Creamy Glow Lipstick, Creamy Glow Lipstick Moist and Bright Up Lipstick). Back in 2008, I posted about the cute nail and cuticle oils I had. As I said, they are not absolute necessities for me and I don’t use them on a daily basis. However, I did get two more in the last couple of years. (Yes, I still like the cute-looking ones……)

Earlier this year, I reviewed Powder Foundation UV (Long Keep) from Kao Sofina Primavista Ange, a base makeup line developed for the Taiwanese market. (The line is not sold in Japan.) The products are formulated to appeal to those with combination or oily skin who need to cope with a warm and humid climate. Besides the powder foundation, I also purchased Long Keep Base UV and Liquid Foundation UV (Long Keep). (I rarely use primers or liquid foundations, but I was curious about them.) Today I am reviewing Long Keep Base UV.

One of Sofina Aube Couture‘s main aims is to make makeup application as easy and straightforward as possible, and it is not difficult to see how the line tries to achieve this with its product designs. (See my post on Aube Couture’s user-friendliness.) One good example of this is the design of the line’s eyeshadow palettes (Designing Eyes, Designing Shine Eyes, Designing Impression Eyes and Designing Impression Eyes II). The colors in the palettes are arranged in a way to show where they are applied on the eye areas. In the same vein, the line’s Designing Puff Cheek, launched in summer 2013, attempts to make blusher and highlighter application quick and simple.

Last summer, L’Occitane debuted La Collection de Grasse, a collection of fragrances created by the brand’s new (and first) in-house perfumer, Karine Dubreuil. The idea of the collection is that each scent is based on two main notes from different parts of the world. (In Japan, the collection is called Ampersand Grasse, highlighting the key concept of union.)
The launch lineup featured four scents: Jasmin & Bergamote, Magnolia & Mûre, Vanille & Narcisse, and Thé Vert & Bigarade. For fall 2013, Ambre & Santal was launched, and, for holiday 2013, Fleur d’Or & Acacia and Cèdre & Oranger were added to the collection. (Also, Rose & Osmanthus is available in some countries.) Today I am featuring Thé Vert & Bigarade.
