RMK‘s Gloss Lips N was launched in Japan on December 3rd last year (and later that month in the UK) to replace Gloss Lips, which was among the brand’s best-selling items. Could the new version be just as popular?
Gloss Lips N is currently available in 20 shades in 4 finishes (CL (Clear), P (Pearl), H (Holographic), and SH (Shiny)), and today I am highlighting P-03 Rose Brown. (The three limited-edition lip glosses in RMK’s spring 2011 makeup collection are simply called Gloss, which is a different product.)

Each year, Japanese beauty magazine Biteki publishes results of its annual survey of its readers’ favorite beauty products in various categories. I am usually particularly interested in all the makeup categories, and, this year, I noticed that three of the eye palettes that I bought in 2010 are among the top 10 eye palettes. (This is surprising to me, as the eye palettes I tend to go for are not usually the most popular ones.)
Here are some brief thoughts on the three palettes (the numbers indicate their rankings in the top 10, and see links for my reviews):
.
1st: Lunasol Aurorize Eyes in 02 Light Variation
.
I know that top finishers in the eyeshadow categories (singles/palettes) are usually neutral-toned and I expected a Lunasol palette (possibly from the Aurorize Eyes series) to top the chart (again), but I didn’t expect that it would be this one. (I thought it would be between (the more airy) 01 Nuance Variation and (the more intense) 05 Contrast Variation.) It seems that the combination of ultra-wearable light warm-toned neutrals and the beautifully dimensional shimmer Lunasol is known for has captured the hearts of many makeup fans in Japan.

Kanebo Lavshuca‘s Star Decoration Eyes series is from the line’s winter 2010 makeup collection. As soon as I came across images of the palettes, I thought I would definitely get one of them. The choice was between BR-1 and PU-1, and, because I don’t really like purple paired with grey (greys are usually too cool for me), I went for BR-1.
The case has the same length and width as those of Eye Color Select palettes, but it is a little thicker, which I like.

NARS’ holiday 2010 makeup collection has got some of my favorite makeup colors: violet, lilac, gold, beige and cool pink. Also, I like the look (and the name) of Trio Eye Shadow in Okinawa, even though the colors might not necessarily work particularly well for me.

I received my Lavshuca Star Decoration Eyes in BR-1 (left in photo) from the line’s holiday 2010 makeup collection a few days ago. I will try it very soon and share my thoughts later on!

For the holiday 2010 season, Elemis has released a collection of seasonal gifts as well as a seasonal candle collection. (See all the items here.) Today I am highlighting the Enriching Body Treats.
The set includes five body cleansers and one body moisturizer (from left to right in the photo above):
