I am sure many of you have seen images of Dior’s summer 2009 makeup collection. Here is a quick look at the items.

The star item, Dior Crystal Shine, has a industrial-chic feel. It is not really calling out to me, so I think my Boots points are safe for the moment…

Sonia Rykiel Summer 2009 Makeup Collection

As one of my readers has observed, blue seems to be the color for summer 2009. YSL, Magie Deco, and Chicca are bringing out blues for their summer 2009 collections, and so is Sonia Rykiel. (Even the packaging is in blue.)

The collection includes:

– Quatre Eyeshadow Collection (1 new variation, above)

– Ombre à Paupières Crème (3 new shades)

– Gloss Trio 2009 (3 variations)

– Poudre Colorée Pour Le Visage (2 variations)

– Nail Color L (3 new shades)

A 2009 version of L’Atout Eclat Sublime (Treatment Makeup Base S) will also be released (in Golden Caress, SPF 15 and PA+). It contains gold pearl to create a shimmery beige finish.

The collection will be released in Japan on May 15. All the items are limited editions.

Maquillage Summer 2009 Collection

Maquillage will release its summer 2009 collection in Japan on May 21. The lineup includes:

– Eyes Creator 3D (2 new variations, limited editions)
– Full Vision Mascara & Liner (5 shades)
– Full Vision Gloss Coat Mascara (1 shade)
– Glossy Nail Color (22 shade)
– Top & Base Coat

The gold-toned Eyes Creator 3D (in GD831) got my attention. It seems to be the kind of neutral-to-gold palette that suits me and it reminds me of the Coffret D’Or 3D Lighting Eyes in Gold Variation, which I like very much.

Coffret D’Or will release the 2009 late summer collection in Japan on June 16. The lineup includes:

– Color Mixing Eyes palettes (5 variations)
– Eye Clear Up Base
– Double Action Mascara (2 shades)
– Full Keep Gel Liner (2 new shades)
– Quick Liner (2 shades)
– Juicy Memory Rouge (12 shades)
– Control Lip Base

In addition, Coffret D’Or’s early summer collection, out on April 16 in Japan, features eight new nail colors.

I have got the Shine Accent Eyes in 02 Pink Variation from Coffret D’Or’s spring 2009 collection. I will share my thoughts with you later on!

Jill Stuart will be adding two products to the bath and body collection (launched last year) in Japan on May 8th. The two new products, Shimmery Body Gel (above) and Sugar Body Scrub (below), will join Body Milk and Flower Bath Salt (see photo here) in the collection.

Chicca will release its summer 2009 collection in Japan on May 13th. The seasonal makeup theme is Mysterious Blue.

The lineup includes:

– Enticing Lip Gloss (1 new shade)
– Enthralling Powder Eyeshadow duos (4 new variations)
– Enthralling Powder Eyeliner (1 new shade)

If you enjoy wearing blue eyeshadows, summer collections from Japanese brands are usually worth looking into. I quite like the strong reds that go with the blues in this collection, particularly the shade of the bright lip gloss.

SUQQU will release a few lip items for summer 2009. They include three new shades of Creamy Lip Stick (two of them in the photo) and one new shade of Lip Liner Pencil.

Elégance will release its summer 2009 collection in Japan on April 18th. The lineup includes:

– Lustre Crush Eyes (bi-phase liquid/powder eyeshadow, 5 shades, seen above)

– Lagoon Mascara Duo (2 variations, limited editions)

– Nail Bijou (4 new shades)

It is a very colorful and summery collection. I especially like the look of the Lustre Crush Eyes, and I look forward to seeing more close-up photos of them in Japanese beauty magazines later.
